    | Fox-fire: A kitsune may produce fire and lightning known as fox-fire by rubbing its tails together or breathing it out. It may also create will-o'-wisps of floating fox-fire also known as fox lanterns. Fox-fire may be used as a weapon or as a toy. While it burns as a fire does when used offensively, it carries with it a curse that causes psychological distress and hallucinations.
    | Illusion: A kitsune is capable of casting illusionary magic. These illusions may appeal to any of the senses, and it is nigh impossible to distinguish reality from illusion. A kitsune often accepts its own illusions as reality. Those who are religious and have exceptional faith are immune to these illusions, and their touch may dissolve a kitsune's illusions.
    | Shape-shifting: A kitsune may transform into a human and back into its feral fox form. While a kitsune develops the ability to take the shape of a human relatively early on in its life, it frequently experiences difficulty with emulating the human form. It is not uncommon for a kitsune to struggle to hide its tails and/or ears in this form.
